As the title says. Any one else experience Windows Photo Viewer being really slow to Render and browse through pictures?
I've had this issue for a while, and just recently figured out the cause and thought I'd share in case it helps others.
Windows Photo Viewer was really slow, even to open w/a SSD drive, yet all other Photo Viewing Programs seem to work OK.
With the new Win instal, everything was just fine.
Then went to being slow again. The only thing that had changed was that I had ran the Windows Color Calibration just before it all went bad.
So what I had to do to fix it:
Control Panel/Color Management/ Advanced Tab
Delete the Windows Calibrated Color Profile
Set the sRGB IEC61966 as default (Windows native default profile)
Reboot and all was fixed.
Run Windows Color Calibration and all goes bad again when rendering photos.
Anyone else experience this and have a better solution? Or if anyone has noticed this, it very well may be the cause for you as well.
