Hi, I hope I am in the right place to get help with my problem. I backed up a bunch of photos onto an external hard drive yesterday (which I do on a regular basis), but today when I tried to access those files I couldn't. For some reason, the file extensions are different and none of my programs will open them. A few saved as perf and the rest saved as xml files. What happened? I didn't think I did anything different than I always do when I backup. Thanks in advance for any help/advice!

Were you able to open them before? Can you remember the extension they had before, cause sometimes, just changing the extension, and poof, photo works.
