I'm having some problems installing Photoshop CS4 Extended.
When I run it, It says to run it under XP SP2 or Vista SP1.

I tried running as Administrator and in Compatibility Mode,
Still same answers.

But I am able to install CS3 Extended.

I got that message to and ignored it. I just finished installing CS4 Master Collection on 7057 x64 with no problems at all. Opened and used Acrobat and PS flawlessly.

I ignored it as well, no issues with Master Collection at all, ever, on any build since 6801 through now.

Thanks everyone,
I just ignored it and it went through.
But for some reason 7022 wouldn't allow me to install Photoshop cs4 even if i pressed continued.
But in 7057 I was able to.

Thanks Again

The 64bit version of Photoshop CS4 installed with the Master Collection is no better or powerful than the X86 version - and uses more system memory - so I use the 32bit trouble free on Build 7057.

By the way, DiamondNRG, love your specs mate!

Hello all,

When I insert the DVD for CS4 Master Collection....I click Setup.exe, Windows 7 just shows for a brief moment that something is happening (the o-ring beside the cursor) and then nothing happens. I tried the following:

set myself as administrator
turned off UAC
used compatibility modes of all XP and Vista versions
Installed the DVD onto the hard drive itself and executed the setup.exe from there

Nothing happened. Still cannot install CS4 on Windows 7. I did this wonderfully on Windows XP but not on this Windows. My Windows 7 is RC Build 7100

I need this working so I really would appreciate a detailed response. thanks!!!!!

I've never used Master Collection, but is there a way you can just open the DVD with explorer and launch PS install directly, instead of trying to start the main menu with setup.exe?

I've been running PS CS4 Ext 64bit on b7000 64bit, works perfectly.

Windows explorer, not internet ;)

Insert disk > my computer > right click and select open instead of run/install/whatever it defaults. Then find the folder where the PS files are.

Works pretty much with any disk, but cant guarantee that one as Ive never used it.
