Picture and Fax viewer not working right.

Hi there. I wondered if there was a way to get to install XP's Picture and Fax viewer into Windows 7. I found out after wasting much paper and ink that Windows 7 picture viewer doesn't print right. In Windows 7, you ask for a 8x10, but the printout barely covers half the page. Other sizes, 5x7 or 4x6 are erroneous, too, no matter what printer you use. When I do the same printing job in XP, I get exactly what I asked for; never a problem. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help.
