Picture format wrong

Hi, I've got a number of home made videos that were taken in 4:3 format but when played on Windows Media Player they will only play in 16:9 format and I cant find anything in the setup or playback controls to change it. Can anyone help, cheers, Jeff

This issue was discussed at Microsoft Answers, and people there came to conclusion that the best solution is to use other media player, which supports such functions (like VideoLAN - Official page for VLC media player, the Open Source video framework!)
