pictures are piece of paper with a paint pallette

I am trying to sell stuff on Craigslist and when I went to my pictures to post one they are all pieces of paper
with a folded over right corner with a paint pallette in the center. I also have some folders that when I click
on them to see photos,individule papers not photos appear.Have NO clue as to what happened, but really
need some help.ANY suggestions would be much appreciated. I have tried system restore,but it does not go
back far enough. Checked show hidden files.No good.Show previous versions. No good.

Hello halfpack69, and welcome to Seven Forums.

It sounds like you may have Paint set as the default program to open these files with, but the issue sounds like you may have thumbnail previews turned off.

If so, turning on thumbnail previews using option 1 in the tutorial below should fix this for you.
