Pictures???

Hi I hope someone can help me here. I have just bought this laptop today and when I uploaded pics from my camera and then went into my pictures I only had the computer generated landscape picture as the picture icons and can only see the picture itself when I click on the icon. I have changed changing the size setting to large and extra large and also tried the preview pane options all to no avail.

Go click on Pictures in Start. Then double click on Pictues in the left pane. That should show 2 picture folders (Public Pictures and My Pictures). Look in My Pictures for your file.
You can also take the card out of the camera, stick it into the card slot and copy the pictures over.

The pictures are in my pictures but the problem is I have to click on each Icon before I know which picture it is, as in the folder all the icons are just the computer landscape image.

The images are in my pictures, the problem I am getting is that when I go into my pictures I have to click the piction icon to see which picture it is. Does that make sense?

You might want to create a new sub-folder called Loraine_Camera & move all your pics there and see what it looks like

I have created a seperate folder and still the same issue I cant see my pictures untill i click on the icon, the icon looks the same the insert image in the quiock reply box on here just blue and yellow.

Can you do a screen snip with the snipping tool & attach it with the paper clip icon ?

OK, understand now. that's easy. When you have the folder open, go to Organize (top left) > Folder and search options > View tab > Uncheck the first box "Always show icons not thumbnails > Apply > OK.
