Just wondering if a product key is legitimate if it passes a PID check??

I'm just very carefully weighing up all the options before I go spending a great wad of my hard earned to move up from xp as they will soon stop supporting it and what a white whale vista was.

Any advice from the pros is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to sevenforums, Ben.

The product key will be legitimate if you have bought the software from a legitimate source. It will be on the package in a hologram sticker.
