Pinning applications to other applications?

I like the new taskbar, but I find it getting a little cluttered with all of the applications I use on a regular basis (thus warranting pinning them to the taskbar). Being kind of OCD, this bugs me as when I open programs that aren't pinned to the toolbar for a little bit (games, the various programs of Microsoft Office, etc) because they just make it more cluttered and take up more space.

Now, I'm curious if there's any way to alleviate this a little. I made a little program that takes up only one pinned spot on my taskbar that I use to launch Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, etc). Would it be possible to pin those individual programs to that pinned launcher in the taskbar, so they don't take up more spaces on the taskbar, but rather group up with the pinned app already there.

Simply... is there any way to make groupings of unrelated pinned objects on the taskbar? Or at least some way to keep all the applications I want pinned on there but still avoid making it a cluttered mess?

I wouldn't know, I never used quick launch in previous versions of Windows lol.

I like how the taskbar stacks up Firefox and Windows Explorer and stuff when a couple of different windows are open. I just wanna force my games and various other programs to stack up with their respective launchers that I have pinned to the taskbar, or have all of the Microsoft Office suite stack up on 1 icon, instead of creating new spots.

Well, I'm not sure if that would help because programs would still continue to open up and take up more spots on the taskbar while my goal is to give everything that could possibly run on my computer (or as much as I can) a designated pin to stack up onto.

I notice the Recycling Bin is "pinned" inside of the Windows Explorer pin on the taskbar. It's there when I right-click on it. That's kind of what I'm looking for.

The 'quick launch' tool bar will cascade the programs and folders in one neatly hidden place on your task bar.

I can't get a screen shot of mine, but this will give you an idea of 'cascading'

I suppose, but wouldn't the rest of the taskbar still appear as a cluttered mess? I mean the taskbar is honestly perfect the way it is for me, I don't want to try and replace the whole thing with the quick launch toolbar or anything. I just wish I could stack things up on my own instead of Windows deciding what open windows and applications belong together.

How do you have the taskbar functioning normally like that? With the longer tasks and the names of them displayed and stuff.
