Pinning IE 9 Shortcuts

I'm not presently a user of IE 9, but---

Karl, I am not using it either. In my opinion the nominal improvements that will probably be offered by IE9 are not worth the bother, to be the first to try a browser that will have problems until fully tested.

I, too, will wait until the jury has issued a verdict.

I'm very pleased with Firefox, especially the security offered by NoScript.

I only use IE for those cases where MS forces you to use IE to download certain info or for gigabyte iso downloads which resume fine under IE and the MS File Transfer Manager but not under Firefox. I attribute this to MS.

What that article doesn't tell you is how to turn this annoying feature off! The way to do it is to hold the Shift key when you drag the icon, this turns the shortcut into a standard .url file. This action won't cause IE9 to open a replacement window, and you will still have the Home icon on the top.
