Play game and video at the same time

Hi,

Using dual monitors. Trying to find out how to configure how to play a game and watch video at the same time. Using VLC player for the video. Tried playing a game, and the video freezes but the audio is still playing. Need help on how to do this.

Did try looking for posts in forums, but most says to have a better pc, and my specs would have a big difference over those that I have come across.

did u try running it without video being fullscreen?

i've just played a game and played a video on my dual's fine

specs:
win 7 ultimate x64 N
NVIDIA GeForce GTS 240
VLC media player
ultramon
fallout 3 NV

What is the resolution of the video? Depending on the video card and type video you are trying to play, you may need a better vid card??!!?? With a GTS 250 that may be the case. You wont be able to play game on high settings and play a hd movie with that card. Wont do it,.

Finally got it to work. Changed video settings of VLC media player to OpenGL output. Able to play movie and game at fullscreen.
