Playing games for a while results in black screen with no signal.

Hi all,

Just as i thought my issue's were over, it seems i got another issue.

Just played black ops 3 for a good 30minutes, then my screen went black, and few seconds later the screen posted "No Signal"


I have googled this and i have checked the event viewer, which shows alot of critical errors.
It leads to "Kernel Power ID 41"

Everything is stock currently, so no overclocking done yet.

I also was send to a thread on this forum, and some guy had the same problem, turned out it was a software issue, now i dont know if it is a software issue for me,

It could be anything really..

Hi SuicidalChief, welcome to the Forum.

Check out this MS website. There are a lot of possible causes of your problem. Things like overheating, over clocking, poor power supply etc.. Read through it & see if you can find the cause.

I doubt its a overheating problem nor overclocking problem.
Fury x is watercooled
And CPU aswell.

CPU and GPU are STOCK currently.

GPU temps on furmark didnt pass 45C
Idle temps on cpu are 19-20C
Even in game.

PSU is a SeaSonic.

the issue only happens with a Display Port cable seems, so it has something to do with freesync.. because im running it at 144hz or 100hz most of the time.
havent tried it with 60hz.
But does a faulty display port really cause the kernel power 41 event? :shock:
Im honestly confused.

When a PC shuts down, the first thing to check is Temperature. Download this and check your CPU temps as you play the game.

Did the temp test,

GPU never went above 39C in-game.
CPU never went above 29C in-game.

Also check that you have all the right drivers in your game to suit Windows 10.
