Please help - BSOD code 9f on homebuilt system

I have started getting repeated BSODs on my homebuilt system. It's new - I put it together in January 2011. It's running Win7 Pro installed fm a retail disk. Full system specs are in my profile. All the components are new (less than 6 months old), except for peripherals, and one of the hard drives (which is a couple years old).

The problem appears to have started since I replaced my graphics card in April (replaced old, dead ATI HD4550 with NVIDIA GeForce GT 430), but of course, it could be something else. It also appears to be - so far - a crash that happens during or after sleep (the PC's sleep, not mine).

I did a clean install of the latest NVIDIA drivers, but this resulted in another BSOD the first time the computer went to sleep (or attempted to sleep).

At about the same time as I installed the NVIDIA card, I also installed Acronis Trueimage, first as a trial version and then full, so that is another possibility.

For AV I use Microsoft Security Essentials (and common sense in my browsing...)

I've attached the items requested for BSOD assistance. Any help would be appreciated! I don't really know where to start.

All of these were caused by an inconsistent power state caused by your HIDUSB.sys driver.

Please run system file check to verify and repair the OS files.

Run a system file check to verify and repair your system files.
To do this type cmd in search, then right click to run as administrator, then
SFC /SCANNOW

Okay, the system scan did not turn anything up: "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."

Yes it is. You can see that the drivers are reasonably up to date:

However, it will still pay to update them if an update is available - Support + Downloads

Also, there are quite a few drivers relating to USB that could be causing the issues. Drivers relating to USB virtualization and USB3 are present, the one that caught my eye however was this:

This is the driver for Gigabyte's USB quick charge system, it is not needed and I have seen it cause BSODs before. I would suggest you uninstall the driver/application.

As you can see from the below BugCheck Summary (scripts) it happens at similar addresses so just to be thorough I would also run a memory test, though I dont suspect yours to be bad.



Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. Memtest86.com - Memory Diagnostic

Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.

Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot.

Test the sticks individually, and if you find a good one, test it in all slots.
