Solved Please Help, Desperate! No "Stereo Mix" Selection Available

Hello, I am trying to record sounds from my computer, and I've been told to enable stereo mix. The problem is that stereo mix just does not show up where it is supposed to (yes, I have put checks in the boxes "show disabled devices" and "show disconnected devices"). I've tried to update my drivers, but to no avail, I know very little about that. My CPU is an Intel DG965OT, so if anybody could help me find the right driver upgrade in order to make stereo mix show up, it would be greatly appreciated. Remember, my final goal is to record sounds from my computer, so if there is any way to do that without stereo mix, then that would be great to know as well. Thank you in advance!

HERE is the Intel IDT (formerly Sigmatel) driver for your motherboard and Vista 32/64 bit, which will work in Win 7 32/64 bit. It is the same driver for my DP35DP motherboard and I know it works and has the System mixer function.
