Hi,

I generally use Kmplayer to autoshutdown my pc once whatever I'm watching is finished. The problem lately is that it sets the pc to shutdown but then windows will pop a dialog box that requires user input so the pc will stay on all night at that point. It gives me the whole COM server Warning: There are still active COM objects in this application. One or more clients may have references to these objects, so manually closing this application may cause those client application(s) to fail.
Are you sure you want to close this application? Yes No.

I know I have programs running that run all the time like coretemp or rainmeter. So I imagine one of them is using the COM server but why is windows popping up this error on shutdown surely it's clear I want all my programs to shutdown when I make it shutdown. Is there anyway to force windows to always shutdown or some way to disable this kind of warning?

Thanks for the help.

As a matter of interest I found this solution online, it's apparently the Kmplayer which i am using to autoshutdown the computer. Here is the fix i found: Control Panel -> System and Security -> Administrative Tools -> Services -> COM + Event System Stop button, the startup type to Disabled.
