Solved Please help me my laptop restart by itself

Hi guys I did not get a new laptop yet. I know I do,but my g570 Lenovo been restarting by it self. It been doing it twice on me. One time when I was playing a game and it restart it self. the 2nd time was today when I was reading something on line. I don't get any error. I have a cooling fan from over heating. When it over heat it shuts off. that was 1 year ago. But now it been resting it self with out me touching buttons. So can you tell why it doing it. It is old,and I know I need a new laptop. I am on it 24/7 because I love video games.

sounds like you are getting a BSOD however it reboots instead of showing you the BSOD. Go into your SYSTEM control panel, click advanced system settings to the left, then click the advanced tab, then click 'settings' on startup and recovery, then uncheck 'automatically restart' and then under write debugging information make sure 'small memory dump (256kb)' is selected.

Ok great! Now you will have to wait until it happens again and then read the blue screen error code (starts with 0x000) and also upload the 'dump' file located in C:\windows\minidump folder on the forum so we can analyze it.

My laptop froze and restart it self, no blue screen I did not see the minidump folder I think its tell me new laptop

Theoretically the internal cooling should be sufficient. In reality they're not always that great. From new the cooling systems on a laptop tend to work satisfactorily, but once the heatsink inside is coated with dust it dramatically reduces the potential of thermal conduction, and the dust can also block up the heatsink completely, blocking the airflow.

If you're buying a new laptop then you don't necessarily need to know this now, but it might be worth bearing this in mind in future.

If you have no plans with the old laptop, it might be worth experimenting with it to see what the problem is, and you'll learn something in the process! If you download RealTemp and monitor the laptop temperatures, if the laptop always turns of at a specific temperature threshold then you have an overheating problem. In which case, you could have a go at taking the laptop apart and cleaning any excess dust from the heatsink. (If in doubt, there are normally great tutorial videos on YouTube which will help you do this).

As soon I open origin the temps went up more I show you. And I open sims 3 and hit temp 69- 70 distance 20-20
