Please help me! Unknown software

Hello,

as the title says, I have a problem. I have certain programs on my PC, and I don't know what they're used to. Here is the list:

CA DSM Agent + Asset Management plugin
CA DSM Agent + Basic Inventory plugin
CA DSM Agent + Remote control plugin
CA DSM Agent + Software Delivery plugin
CA DSM DMPrimer
CA eTrustITM Agent
CA IT Client Manager
CA iTechnology iGateway
CA Secure Socket Adapter

So, if anyone know, what is that for? What it is used for? Is someone (some server) spying on my computer?
Btw, it is my company's PC, and will I get in trouble if I stop these services or uninstall them?

Sounds like a scam to me, but I could be wrong.

Did you install it? Has anybody else access to your machine?

Finally, download the FREE version of this;

Malwarebytes

run a FULL scan, and if it finds anything post the log here.

Well, as I said, it's my company's PC, I use it, but somebody installed that software yesterday. Not only on my PC, but on all others. It sounds like tracking software to me too, but I thought somebody would know exactly what is it. Thanks for helping, guys, appreciate it.

Run the malware scan.

Clicking on the company site I found for it tries to run something, which it is blocked from doing on my machine, but why I wont post the link here.

It may well be software installed by your company. This is likely if it is on all other machines in the company.

Seems legitimate. It runs a flash intro, music etc. Nothing malicious.

Of course, what is "malicious" also depends on your point of view! I think in this case that you are now one of the "Units" being tracked;

After looking at the CA Technologies website all these program look to be some type of asset management software and more then likely was installed on all PCs by the Company you work for and or there IT department.

No way in hell this got installed on EVERY PC without someone in IT knowing about it and doing it.

Big brother is now watching you. So be careful what you do with the Companies property.

CA Tech looked to be legit by my eyes, so I'd take Shootists advice.

CA is the former Computer Associates and is one of the 3 or 4 largest software vendors in the world----primarily to corporations. They are up there with Oracle and Microsoft.

Unicenter is one of their flagship asset management products.

Yeah, it was installed on all PCs by IT department in the night between Monday and Tuesday. Thank you all for help!

This may help someone in the future. I worked with some these products:

CA DSM DMPrimer

Computer Associates DSM tool is used by corporations to gather and keep hardware and software inventory of their systems. Also as a way to deploy updates/changes to those systems.

If you bought the PC as part of an auction etc. when those companies got rid of their old equipment it should have been removed or the PC wiped out and started over. But that's their internal issue.

If you have administrative rights it should show up in the software list and be removed.
