I have a laptop. (windows 7 64 bit) I have been unsuccesfully trying to install a Kodak 5100 AiO printer. I've spoken with Kodak and I'm going to call them back when I have 4 or 5 hours to kill. While on the phone with Kodak, I was instructed to remove the printer and then Add the printer 7 or 8 times. Nothing worked to get the printer printing. But that's another problem. I've uninstalled the printer and removed everything Kodak related, but now I have 8 "Easyshare Aio" devices listed in my "auto-Play" feature found in my control panel. How do I get rid of all those devices listed??? One suggestion I got was to use "cleanhandlers" but I'm not sure if that will work with windows 7. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. TIA

A few ideas:

It may help to first go to a system restore point for a date before you began your installation attempts.

Don't use the disk that may have come with the printer.

Go to Kodak.com and download the most recent Windows 7 drivers for your EXACT model number. Be sure to get the 64-bit version.

Do what you can to ensure your PC is completely rid of everything Kodak-related except that new downloaded driver.

Look in device manager, add/remove programs, Explorer, etc, for anything remaining from your previous attempts and disable/uninstall/delete, whatever you have to do.

Then try to install the new driver.

There may also be new firmware for your printer at Kodak that might help
