Please help - new comp

Hi Guys
Just got a new computer from pc specialist today
and i am getting the error below
I am getting error File:\windows\system32\drivers\jraid.sys

0xc0000359

windows failed to load because a critical system driver is missing or corrupt

I tried to boot from the windows seven disc but i cannot get it to go past this point, as i am not confident enough to go any further I would like some help.
Will not start in safe mode and only have mouse, keyboard and monitor connected

Hello Tommy Was this pre-installed or did you install of the purchased disk.

Go to Start > Control Panel > Device Manager and kook for any entry with a yellow flag.

jraid.sys is a driver for a JMicron chip, usually the JMB36X or JMB38X, used for RAID and/or for extra IDE and SATA ports.
Check on the website of the manufacturer of the motherboard for an updated driver for JMicron for Windows 7 (recommended), or directly at JMicron.
Load it using the "Load driver" button during the installation of Windows 7. It will ask for the location of the driver, usually a USB key or a floppy disk.

Yes this was pre installed
Cannot get to the start menu, cannot get past the black screen
Will not start in safe mode
have changed the boot to boot from disk and it will not
I am not confident to mess about too much without clear instructions on what to do

Get into the area where the Safe Node entry is and choose Last Known good configuration

Did that and it got a bit further but a screen came up saying
windows could not finish configuring the system. To attempt to resume configuration, restart the computer.

I do this and it goes round in circles to this point

Did you get supplement disks from the manufacturer?

Two DVD's that is.

I got a single windows 7 home premium 64 bit software dvd and assorted driver discs.
This disc was both in and out when trying to go back to last known configuration

Did the new computer come with Vista and did you perform a "clean:" install rather than an upgrade?

Who is the manufacturer of the PC?

Do you recall installing any new software or making any other changes to your system?

First thing I would do is contact the company you purchased it from. And follow their support suggestions.It sounds like your going to need to do a system repair from the windows seven disc. Since it should still be under thier warranty.I know it's not going to be the popular suggestion but after all IMO anything you do could possibly void your warranty. Like doing a clean reinstall. Plus usualy their is a partion on an OEM machine that should allow you to do a system restore. But since you can't get into windows this is a problem. It's new their obligated to support it, or replace it.

to reghakr - i cannot even get it started to install anything i have done nothing except plug it in and press the on button then the problems started

to frostmourne - you could use the drop down "my system specs" asus rampage 2 extreme

are drives in a raid config. If so you need to input raid drives F6 on system repair, best bet take it back.
You could shut computer off open case and check to see drives are connected both power and SATA cable.

I did not ask for raid config, calling them up this morning. It is a big lump to send back was hoping to sort it myself.

Hi Guys,

Been told to re-install windows. Started by pressing F8 on startup and changed boot device to cd-rom but the only options I have are - safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt or start windows normally. As it will not start in safe mode i just go round in circles to this page, any ideas?

PS - the problem was something to do with sme fancy software they add to the installation that has conflicted with the shutdown and the only way around it is to re-install windows which they expect me to do

Isn't there a Last Known Good Configuration entry there. if so, give that a try
