cant see my files on my external hardrive, but i know the existing data is still there, but the external drive is logical, but i cant see the files, open or explore, i have bad disk errors, this all happened after i did scandisk on windows 7, so by using restoring my master boot record,do i have a better chance of recovering my files. i have used Active@ Parition Recovery, Freezes......But when i use EASEUS Data Recovery Wizard Professional 5.0.1, i see the files are still there, but it takes 2 days, to finish, if i delete, repair my masterbooot record, will my existing data still available?
I assume you are talking about an external data disk. I would leave the MBR alone since for this type of disk the most important part is it's partition table which you don't want to damage.
