Please help!! Sound card disortion need fixed ASAP VERY IMPORTANT

Okay, so today I went by Best Buy to get another USB sound card for my laptop to cue music to my headphones in VDJ. It installed the drivers, and told me to reboot. So, I did. When I played a few songs, they all sound extremely distorted and just horrible. every sound now sounds extremely bad from both my internal sound card and my USB one. I have a dance this friday that I am DJing for and I need this fixed ASAP!! Please help!!

You should be using only one sound card. usually when you plug in a external the one on the mother board should shut down,go into device manager and see if there is a conflict. If you're using Xp it's the sound video and game controllers see if the devices are working properly. What OS are you using?and what laptop do you have? give us the brand name and the model. and the kind of usb sound card? the more info the better.

Yes, I fixed it by re-installing all drivers and screaming at it. it all works now. Thanks!
