No problem, I don't mind. Good to backup step by step. Copying from the old hard disk will not damage the new disk, so check disk is not necessary. To put your mind at ease, you can run http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html on the new drive using just the box "Automatically fix file system errors" to see if it fixes any corrupted data, but I do not think both boxes are necessary. It wouldn't hurt to run with both boxes if you really are that worried about it, but I really do not think that is a necessary step for the new drive. The full format should resolve any bad sectors on the new drive.
