I did not see anything on this, but if this problem has been posted already, I apologize. I am trying to upgrade my Operating System from Windows Vista x64 to Windows 7 x64. I ran the Windows 7 Upgrade advisor and had no problems. So I continued and ran the installer. Everything seemed fine, it back everything up and the Operating System installed without issues. While transferring my files and settings back, the installer simply stops at 62%. I have tried this 3 times. I have uninstalled anythign I find unneeded and it still will not work. As to save time with things I have already tried, let me reference the 60+ posts about this on the TechNet forum: Windows 7 Upgrade From Vista to RTM not progressing, stuck at 62%
I have installation logs posted there, along with comments from ~20 other people there. I come here to ask for more help because nothign has worked and nothing has come in from Micrsoft, so I believe this woudl be a very good site to look for more help.
Thank you all in advance
