I just got a cheap off brand Bluetooth adapter in the mail and I was so excited because I am using it to emulate the Wii. So when I plugged it in, I linked the Wiimotes and I ran the emulator and everything worked great. I did a few things and I eventually wanted to use the Wiimote to emulate the Xbox controller, so I could use it in steam games; however, this proved to be very complicated and I eventually gave up. I DID MESS WITH A FEW SETTINGS and after I restarted my computer, Poof! Bluetooth dongle was no longer detected, and I don't know if it was my fault. I plugged it into another computer and it works fine!! I am really upset about this and I don't know what to do. I've tried a few things. Any suggestions? Is there any way of resetting the drivers or making windows think I'm plugging it in for the first time, because like I said, it works on another computer. :( Please help!!

Go to Device Manager, find the Bluetooth device, right click on it and choose "Properties" Then all you have to do is uninstall the driver. Once the driver is uninstalled, reboot, and plug the Bluetooth device again. Windows should detect it now.

Please post back your results after you try this.

Make sure that the BT device is plugged into the computer before accessing Device Manager. Windows should detect it.

Yes it's plugged in and everything, but it doesn't detect it. That is what the problem I'm trying to explain it. I think everything about it is fine, but this one computer just doesn't detect it :(
