Please help with start orb creation !!

I followed the all details of this tutorial : http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/73616-how-create-custom-start-orb-image.htm And I made my own orb !! But when I apply the orb it comes a little brighter !! See the images and please help me with this !! I really want to know how to do my own orbs !! Thanks !! l

You may try this one as your background .. View attachment 1111.zip . The zip contains an alpha channel ready bmp file . If the extra brightness is a result of making alpha channel wrongly, it will not occur with this one , I hope .

May you upload the cube image that you are using .... so that I can judge what is going wrong with it ?

So the image is OK ... I guess you are somehow applying some inner glow on the normal state ?

Probably !! I will try again !! Specially with no effects and glows !! Just the simple image !
