I have installed Windows 7 Xp mode (Ofc i downloaded files from microsoft webiste). After install it worked properly but in down right corner it says This copy of windows is not genuine. I've tried to enter my licence key (I have original windows 7 ofc).. Please help me! Tell me how to remove it!

When downloading XP mode for Windows 7 you need to download the latest WGA (Windows Genuine Advantage) in order for the site to recognise the validity of your copy of Windows 7.

The only times the 'Not genuine' message will appear is if you have either a pirated copy or pre activated copy of Windows 7 and as such we cannot offer support for such software.

If, on the other hand, it's a legitimate copy of the Windows 7 DVD (purchased legally) you may need to get into contact with the vendor who sold you the software.

And of course there he goes!! Ejit.

Any way, orbitial, ther have been known case where retail versions of win 7 can cause this so its not always down to piracy, or non activated, and you only need to do the WGA thing once for XP mode to obtain, you just make sure you click save on all downloads for XP mode.

Now back to business - djokica89 - What version of win 7 are you running - retail or OEM.
