Solved Please,help?

Okay, so I decided to install Windows 7 Ultimate. I used to have Windows xp.
So the whole installation thing was going well.
My new Windows 7 Ultimate started and everything was going well.
There was this little problem, when i started computer it said " choose an operating system to start or press tab to select a tool". So what I did was, i went to this site and ofcourse, I found a way how to fix it, I got it fixed. I thought that all the broken windows XP files will be gone too.
And hello, what I see is that my D: disk, still has my old files, though I selected to install fresh windows(custom) . So all the files still in the place,but ruined - ofcourse.
Weird enough, there is WINDOWS folder in D: disk too ,just like in C: disk.
So It's all messed up. Everything's working perfectly, but the files are messed up and I can't delete some of the files from D: disk. It says that "folder Access denied , you require permission from Administrators to make changes to this folder."
I am ADMINISTRATOR. What the hell.
Please help, If my texts are silly sometimes... Don't mind, I am a girl

You have two physical hard drives (or two partitions on the drive)
You installed Win 7 on C:
You had - or maybe still have - XP on D:
The old XP files are on D:
Have you tried taking ownership of the folders on D:?

It would be best to do a complete wipe (sanitize) the entire Hard Disk Drive and do another clean install of Windows 7 to get the best possible installation as possible before you spend a lot of time trying to sort these issues.

Have a thorough look through this information below and be sure to post back with any further questions you may have and to keep us informed.


After you have copied out or made back-ups of the data you need to save to external media, use Step One of this tutorial at the link below to do a wipe (secure erase) to the entire Hard Disk Drive / Solid State Drive.

• Then if you do not want to create the new Windows 7 "System Reserved" partition use the outline in Step Two #2 to create, format and mark Active a single 100GB partition to do the installation to.
• If you do want to create the "System Reserved" partition use the outline in Step Two #3 to create, format and mark Active the System Reserved partition and then create and format the 100GB partition to do the installation to.

Either way, running the "clean all" then creating and formatting the partition(s) using diskpart will get you the best possible space to do a clean install of Windows 7 to; you can always extend the Windows partition to include the remaining unallocated space on the HDD / SSD or create additional partitions after the installation completes if you choose.
