I'm trying to install Windows 7 on my pc but it gives me an error code 0x80070570 during 'expanding windows files'. It says the file is either damaged or corrupted.

Where did you get your win7 DVD ? Is it a retail DVD or did you download the .iso file & burn it youself ?

If downloaded you need to burn it with ImgBurn (Freeware) at 4x speed with Verify ON !

Do not have any extra USB devices connected during the install, nor any 2nd monitors, or TVs/monitors.
