so here is my case,

my laptop specs

dell inspiron 64bit windows 8 pro
ram 2gb(used to be 4gb)
500hdd
intel hd graphics

1st i had a cpu 100% used problem.i fixed it by formating hard disk.now my main problem is with playing games.i'm playing psp games with emulator.after formating disk i get great amount of fps but after few minutes of gameplay my fps droped like hell.plz help me with this.i thought by adding extra 2gb will fix this.don't you think?

Why did you remove 2 GB of RAM?

Windows will run on 2 GB or even less, but it might struggle, depending on what you are doing.

And we have no idea what the rest of your system specs are. Maybe you have a puny Inspiron.

Put the other 2 GB of RAM back in it and see if things improve.

You could have other things going on that are eating up RAM, but my first idea would be to go to 4 GB.

no sir why i removed the ram because,when os startup my screen began to flicker & it became worse.suddenly my lap was shut down,no powering up.i send it to repair shop.they said screen is damaged cause by circuit failure of the ram.so they replaced the display & said never use that damaged 2gb ram.that's the reason

What CPU do you have?

Are you willing to buy more RAM?

I assume you don't have the old RAM stick. Did you test it yourself?

Have you looked in Task Manager?

they give me the old stick.but i don't want any risks by putting it & my cpu is core i3

If you had no problems while using 4gb of ram, adding 2gb of new ram should work fine. I would suggest buying a reputable brand of ram; Crucial is a good source.
