Please I need help.

My son brought a copy of Fallout 3 I loaded the disk as normal but it wont install no matter what I try. I then found that no matter what disk I load setup.exe will not start I get a dos window pop up but it so quick I can not see the error I'm running Win7 Home all suggestions and ideas welcome.

Your anti-virus software is ?

Run CMD.EXE as an administrator.
At the command shell,run this command
SFC /SCANNOW
then run
EXIT

Now reboot your computer.

Is problem gone?
