hello i am having a (WD) hdd it in this one i have put some games like call of duty 4 lord of the rings conquest and some more... so the problem is that when i copy or install something from the external hard disk in my laptop the installation or copy is too slow i saw some tricks how to speed it up but i haven't had any result ..so i want to ask some advice and thanks in advance

We could use a lot more information

How big is the file?

How are you copying it?

Is it compressed?

What are the computer specs?

What is the networking setup?


Let us know as much as possible. The more info the faster we solve the issue

i installed lord of the rings online(10 gb) from the external hdd to my laptop in 3 hours(i mean that the installation was about 3 hours
i have put the setups of some game on the hdd and i am launching them from there when i format
i am having 3gb ram and speed 2.23 ghz

the solution was simple i just had an usb hub and when i removed it and put only the usb the problem was fixed
