I was fixing an issue with the mouse pointer not working on this Asus laptop.
External mouse wouldn't work, touchpad would not work, Code 39 on both the mouse and touchpad.
Couldn't figure out how to fix it and navigating without a pointer is a pain in the butt.
Anyone have this happen and resolved it without reinstalling windows?
After messing with it, booted up Ubuntu to test the hardware and everything worked, so I pulled the drive and backed up all the data and restored the machine.
