My pointer displays an odd grey circle with multiple black semicircles inside it when I scroll up and down. I've checked my pointer settings and this icon doesn't appear anywhere in the setup I'm using or any other that I can select. I don't know how to get rid of it and it's bugging me. Anyone know of this problem & a fix?

Driver is up to date. I know it's not harmful or hindering my computer, just annoying to see it because I didn't set it to do that. It might even happen when I plug in my Logitec mouse at home. I run a laptop with a touchpad. I will try and get a screenshot of it up but the pointer disappears when I take an image. I'll see if setting it to not hide while typing will fix this so I can capture it.

Even using the PrtScn key fails to capture the mouse pointer (although it does capture menus, etc). The only way of capturing an image showing the mouse pointer is by means of a digital camera.

Does this problem occur in a specific application , or is it every application where you need to scroll vertically? In the same application(s), do you get this problem when horizontally scrolling, or is it just limited to the vertical direction?

it could be an "ease of access" setting. some people who are visually impaired have difficulty following/locating the pointer while performing tasks.
