I dont know if I am posting this in the right secion but anyway. I am running windows 7 64bit ultimate and I have found in certain apps I am getting really poor resolution. E.G Google Talk is just all blured, same goes for Putty, NX Client, there are some others but I cant remember off the top of my head. All the fonts are blured and the graphics/window decorations etc are blured to.

Does anyone know why this would be? It is really annoying and quite frankly starting to ache my eyes. I am running on a laptop. If I use the laptop screen it runs it 1920x1200 and when I dock it I have 2 x 22" screens @ 1680x1050 and I have the same problem regardless of what I am using.

If anyone knows what may be causing this I would love to know!

Thanks

I dont think this will be a GFX card issue as I have not had any problems like this with any other OS but I have updated my specs.

Try playing around with the 'Compatibility' tab under each programs 'Properties' if you are running at high resolutions. I am using 2560 x 1600 and I solved the problem by checking 'Disable display scaling.......' in the Compatibility tab.

A quick update on this. It works but would there be any reason why it wouldnt work for certain applications? I noticed a couple that it wouldnt work for (the tick boxes are greyed out) but Virtualbox in particular.
