I have an Acer aspire-5741G with broken screen hinges (screen dead),
I also have an Acer aspire 5920 which usually starts up on BSOD (can't restore)

Is there a way I can salvage the Windows 7 from my 5741G and fuse it into the frame/skeleton of the 5920?

Is all the equipment such as Esd wrist strap & anti-static mat really necessary ?
Update: And/or also integrate the remaining removable hardware into the Aspire 5920 ??

Happy Easter y*all !

I take it you want to transfer the guts from one laptop to another.

It's very tricky. The stuff may not fit.

Moving the Windows version is probably not possible, as laptops usually use OEM versions which cannot be moved off of the machine. Do you not have Windows on the 5920? Use that license.

And yes, I would use a static strap at the very least.
