I think I found a solution to this problem:

Some info:

I have Win7 RC in my Aspire One 150.

And when you watch youtube or listen to music, it randomly lock ups... so I tried to check the problem and it seems to be in the audio codec.

win7 uses a generic one, so I installed the newest one of Realtek HD audio...

and for now, no lock-ups....

I'll keep posting results!

Hey, netomx,

I have Windows 7 Home Premium on my Acer Aspire One and it will intermittently freeze. As this post is almost 9 months old, I was seeing if you had any additional resolution ideas. Thanks!

I also get random lockups =/

but I installed bios 3310 and the random lockups have kept to a minimum, 1 a week.

I think I got a solution: The problem is in the netbook itself.

I changed the WLAN adapter and now works like a champ!

BUT if I use LAN, it WILL freeze, in an interval of 5 seconds-5 minutes.

If I connect a USB Ethernet device, it will freeze also! (Example: I connect my iPhone and works, but when I activate the tether mode it will freeze like in the LAN situation).

Only affected in the Linux Acer laptops, I have tested some Windows-logo ones and works good.

Hi there.
Sorry for revive a closed thread, but Think i've got the same problem.

i'm the owner of an AOA-150-1063 (known also as zg5)
Also i think its the wlan card but i can't be 100% sure of that , (atheros 5007EG) but i would like to know if changing the card worked for you (to have no-freezes)
Also, what mini-pci card would you recommend?
By the way, my laptop is a windows-logo one.

(Un saludo, dado que ambos somos de México.)
