Possible to configure a folder to save contents in multiple locations?

Hello.
In win 7 is it possible to configure a folder to save it contents across different locations?
I want to drop stuff I modify frequently into a folder that will save it on two drives so the files are backed up in case one drive breaks.
If not possible please suggest a work around.

If your controller and drives support it, RAID (probably RAID 1) would fill your need. Not distinct folders, but it is a way to prevent a hardware failure on one drive making you lose all data.

Have you ever heard of a software app that supports it?

If the OP has Windows Pro or higher, you can also create a software RAID 1...

Bill2 beat me to it. SyncToy is a great option for this...and it's free.

Personally, I like to use the already built-in features of the OS that will mirror the data without any further interaction. There is no installation extra software nor the dependence on the program to run at certain intervals (which can cause issues if a change happens and the data is corrupted before the next scheduled sync, or the computer is off during the sync time interval, etc). But, that's just my opinion.

What a great thread, I was just getting ready to do something along these lines. Now I can do it easially with this sync tool.

There is, however, a 64 & 32 bit version. Just make sure you have the correct version installed on the correct OS. Machines you are syncing to do not have to have sync toy installed unless you will be syncing from that machine.
