Post your 3D Mark Firestrike scores

Someone posted a score over at OCN the other day Ryan, he has the same CPU as you but he cranked the bugger up to 5.2GHz and his single 780 to 1330/1804. Just for interest sake more than anything but this is what he got - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 video card benchmark result - AMD FX-8350,ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. M5A97 EVO

That looks about right then enit chap, My single card run scored 8295 with the cpu @4.8 n stock gpu. I gotta raise me some cash lol.

What i understand right now the 8350 Bottlenecks with the GTX 780

has anyone researched how the 290 or 290x runs on the same set up ?

Dang the FX8350 is bottlenecking the cards look at this

Well the GPU Score in that is pretty good.

Honestly i can't tell which would appear better but there seems to be a lot of difference between score of an intel set up vs AMD for sure

Ok i am on to something here

I don't even know if there is even valid information on my finding but i noticed scaling the 2nd GPU at an awkward settings vs the 1st GPU clearly gave me better results

I used to figured when crossfire it was best to have paired GPUs running the same clocks uhmm boy was i wrong

I thought 1 of your GPU's died Solar and you have RMA'd it?

You didn't read what i posted to Ryan i swear to you Paul it really did die and i could not figure out why it died i even took it out put it back in crossfire didn't work nothing

then i said F it i am,going to try it again and i kept the side off the case just to make sure it's dead right and bam i saw the fan spin and i was hmmm it booted and the settings were there im like Holly sh*t it resurrected itself i had it out of my PC for 3 days wow im not trying to speak it was a miracle but wow you know

Ah I thought you may have gone through with the rma just to be certain it's ok.
After some blagging my Mrs let me use the money from my gpu's to switch platform, So with all the change jar's emptied I managed too raise enough to get a Maximus VI Hero and 4770k which I'll be ordering this morning

Do you remember that thread I made about the black border around the bios when I got my 670's? As soon as I switched to the 780's it was back to normal and now I have a full screen bios again

Lmao! I think it will be a while before I get my head around the new bios, I had a look on a review and f me it looks proper scary compared to my bios and I thought that had a lot of settings in :shock:

Just to let you know it's like 3 extra settings on Haswell compared to Ivy

Very nice scores Solar, it looks like AMD cards do a lot better in Firestrike, I know when I had the R9 290X it was a lot better than the 780 and in 3D Mark 11 too.

I will update a little later.

Just to let you know it's like 3 extra settings on Haswell compared to Ivy

No doubt I'll get my head around it in time I've always read the Intel overclocking threads so have a basic idea but will look over all the guides I can find and hassle you lot for tip's :devil2:
I've had a look at a couple of guides and like the look of the bios and it's features. It looks a massive improvement over my V Formula

Edit: Solar, can I just ask, are you sure Lucid is disabled? Have you disabled igpu in the Bios too?

Yes and yes i took it off because when running 2 cards artifacts galore i ended up just disabling the whole thing on start up and in bios
The crossfire score i figured out something having one card 1st GPU at a good beefy clock then 2nd gpu not so beefy gives better results then both at the same speed crazy i know

By the way the clock was 1180/1175 power 20% i noticed the more power given the better it performs there is the voltage wall though like 1.175

Also would like to point out some of the members said it gave terrible performance so maybe the lucid held it back some because i did better without it
