lol, I just edited my post right when you posted, if you'll check again, I have another 100 bump in score from what you probably saw. This is my first intel build since a p3 450 years back. I've been an AMD fan boy since my first athlon xp 1700+

Yeah same ere but I started a lot later with my first build in 2010 with a Phenom II 640,FX 6300 and my last AMD build was with an FX8350

BOOM, another healthy increase and I moved up a spot on the list, I'm gunning for you now.
Whenever I get new hardware, I always tweak and push the limit. Plus crossfire is a big pain, so little things can make a big difference.

To answer your question, at first I changed the texture filtering method to performance(forgot to set it to that to begin with for benchmarking) along with changing the crossfire method to optimize 1x1 This last round I pushed my cpu to the limit with a healthy vcore/system agent increase temporarily just to gain the last bit I needed to go up one more slot. I also pushed my ram up another 100mhz to 2500mhz. The uncore/cache doesn't make any difference at all.

lol nah but i do have a question though i am torn 2x970 g1 or 1x 980 g1 the 970's are neck and neck and out classing the 980

I take it the score was using that lucid mvp thing or something Solar seeing as you put j/k?

Obviously the 2x970's will out perform a single 980. It just depends if you want 2 cards or a single one. As far as gaming goes, you will get excellent results from both choices.
Then there is the benchmark leaderboards. Do you want to take on the SLI boys or the Single card boys? Lol

Kind of a mixed bag at the moment. Happy to have a new card which seems pretty beastly but not happy as I have no time to try some games out and do some more benching.

Hopefully I don't have to work too late tonight so I can get on it a bit more then.

I am running heaven as we speak but I am struggling. You may already have me beat in that. Seems my card is at it's limit. Your classy shows it's worth in that one. I may beat you but you will easily beat me again and I won't have a come back.

So Gigabyte 980G1 guess i will pick it up next week and then sell my 780ti later or keep it and put it in another rig
