Solved Poster production

Help please. I am advertising a series of lectures. From previous years I have an A4 poster with blank in the centre where I have deleted last years lectures. I have a small image of this coming years lectures. Both are jpgs. How do I insert the lecture details into the A4 poster. I used to know how but I have forgotten how!!

At a pinch you could do this with Windows Paint. Open 1st image, then go paste > paste from and open 2nd image. 2nd image appears above 1st image and can be dragged around. Paint is a bit crude - personally I'd use Photoshop, but the free program GIMP can do most of the simple PS stuff. A lot of people like the free Paint.net. These apps all have an initial learning curve - might be easier to ask someone who's into gfx to do it for you.

Problem solved. Open old poster in elements etc, select old text, fill with white and close
Open new word doc, use insert to draw text box around the edge of the white space, and keep active (handles etc)
Insert again and select new text, and adjust to fit the white space. Job done!
