power management of hdd makes my hdd have "clunk" sound at shutdown.
When I setup power management to turn off my hdd at say 15 minutes. When the hdd shuts off I hear a uneasing "clunk" sound. Maybe the arm getting yanked to rest position?
When I turn off my system normally I never hear the hdd's make this "clunk" sound they just spin down easy and retract the heads very nicely.
Why is this?
It's the reason I never use power management to spin down or shut down hdd's forcing my puter use more power and keep hdd's spinning until normal shutdown.
