Power supply parts for Gaming
Hi guys. Can you suggest about what a power supply could be more than enough for a PC? For hardcore gaming. lol thanks
Windows 7 Home Basic 32 bit
OSWindows 7 Home Basic 32 bit
Corsair AX850W
A few more details, such as your definition of hardcore gaming. Opinions vary wildly.
Essentially the rule is Single GPU, 750W. 2 GPU's 850W 3 1000W+
Never cheap out on a PSU for 'hardcore use'. Always go with a reputable brand.

The GPU(s) can eat the watts. Two or even three power hungry gpu's, pair of optical drives plus hhd's-ssd's. Overclocked CPU with H2O pump. Add few USB devices and you can see why a 850 or 1000 watt may be the minimum size. 1250 watt PSU's are around.

First, in order to really suggest a power supply to you, we really should know what your system specs are. Otherwise we're just guessing and speculating.
That said, I'm willing to bet you don't need anything bigger than an 850. And unless you're running multiple high powered GPU's, you definitely don't need a 1200 watt PS.
And there's obviously some miscommunication here because...

The link you provided does not look to be a computer supply. At least not one that I've ever seen. I always recommend Corsair, Seasonic or Antec power supplies. Those are good quality power supplies that will put out the power they claim, where others may not. They also have safety features built in.

It's rare that a person needs 1000 watts or more. Share, or fill out your system specs as fully as possible and we can narrow things down quite a bit.
