I have both on my computer. In "Autoplay" I can choose play DVD on PowerDVD or on Media Center. Which is the better (higher quality video) choice? PowerDVD seems to be a choice within Media Center, so I'm guessing it doesn't matter which.

The codec and bitrate determine quality really so it doesn't matter which you go with. It all boils down to preference.

I prefer cowan jet audio or the kmplayer for movies(although I do like the look of media centre with media browser) and wmp for music.
