Looking for help regarding pptx files. I have a "read only" CD disc that I used on a HP laptop with windows 2007 for over one year.It is a course program with many animated videos. From day 1 it worked perfectly when I doubled clicked, the video would start automatically.I purchased a Ienovo laptop with the same windows 2007, but it will not play any of the videos. I did go on line and tried several suggestions but again, nothing worked.I do not understand why they will not work? . (Just as a note the videos only worked during an actual slide show, but they always worked) Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

That is Microsoft Office PowerPoint file. Do you have Office installed?

You can download a PowerPoint Viewer as an alternative.

Looks like your file type is a variation of PPS (Power Point)

[MS-PPTX]: PowerPoint (.pptx) Extensions to the Office Open XML File Format

With this DDG search results page, the first 5 or 6 offerings are parasites trying to sell you a program, don't even click on cnet.com
(ie, download.cnet.com) or cnet will flood you with websites all trying to sell you something.

  • Write cnet.com and downloads.com on your wall of web-sites to never open

Free MS Power Point Viewer is available from here a Microsoft website.

The clever thing about DDG (DuckDuckGo) search engine is that you should get an identical result as I did.
DDG don't track you nor bubble you

I hope this is helps ... let us know how it works out

If you don't have M$ Office Power Point installed, you can download the viewer.
