Pre Order win 7. Why only US and Canada

Hi Guys,

I want to pre order windows 7 and benefit from the low price but I notice it´s only for US and Canada. Why is that. Is there going to be a discount available for Europe as well.

Ok pre order ends tomorrow. I only want a download, no shipping. So if someone has an answer please be quick..Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply. Im from the netherlands. So this pre order will this be only in Uk or Other EU contries as well.

ive just had a look and the microsoft site for the nederlands and i can't seem to find the pre order offer dates listed. But if you look here

you will see it says return on 31st August to order for most EU countries

however the UK pre order starts 15th July.

Due to an EU ruling , we will get the FULL OS , for an upgrade price. Its all down to an anti-trust case against Microsoft .

We may have to wait for it tho I'm afraid until the case is sorted out by the EU.

We wont be getting IE8 pre installed , instead we will have the option to choose the browser of our choice.Check out the thread for more info ( discussion gets a bit heated , but its all good )

Windows 7 pricing latest: $137 family pack, steep discounts in UK

Across the Atlantic, British buyers will (as usual) be paying more for the software in direct comparison to the U.S., but the discounts on offer are much steeper. Whereas the advance payment offer in the U.S. cuts the price of a Home Premium upgrade from $120 to $50, the equivalent U.K. deal from some retailers is a two-thirds price cut, from £150 to £50.

Actually this TREAD is rather old and very much out of DATE. The UK will have almost as good a deal as China...
