Press F1 to continue

Hi,At start up pc is asking me to press F1 to continue,when pressed pc will start normally,why im having this,can i do something to let pc start without this ?

I could be a setting in your bois.
We need this first so we know what we are working with.
Please update your system specs.
In the lower left of your post tick on (My System Specs)

Does the screen have more info or just that one line?

This can happen if the CMOS battery needs replacing.

yes,its written in the bottom line,i see other info i think its normal info that appear in normal start ups,but it stands there and wait for F1 being pressed to proceed

CMOS battery, changed and i still have time being changed every time i start up ,it goes to march 1995,i changed it from bios but still like that

i checked again in bios and found that it was set on floppy at start up,i changed it to hard disc and ill see whats happens.

Did that fix it? If not, have you installed any new hardware recently? If not you may have to reset your cmos.

This indicates a battery problem. Are you sure you put the new battery in the right way round? if you did best try another battery. You need to get this right firstIMHO.
