Hi all,

First of all, sorry for my english, i'm not very good at writting it.

I'll make it short as possible. I have a canon mp280 printer, installed and worked well for couple of months without any problems. We had a lightning cut off and suddenly my printer didin't want to work anymore. (it is related, I don't know)

I find out that my print spool don't work now in my computer. I have read all your other thread in this forum about it. I've done a lot and try a lot either and it still don't work.

This thread was the only one really close to my problem.

I have checked the folder Windows/System32/spool/PRINTERS/ and it's empty. I have checked the Dependencies but I can't find the http in my service. Others are working. My printer pool it not working and when I tried to start it, it says

60491977.jpg

His service status is stopped.

To be honest, i spend 2:00 working on it without any success, and I'm tired :(

Disconnect the printer and see if the print spooler works normally and stays enabled. If so, remove the printer drivers completely, then reinstall them (and then plug in the printer).

Thanks for your replies,

About the scan, it's working. I tried it before posting here. Forget to say so. I can scan something and add it to my computer without any problem.

At Kaktussoft

Http and RPC (endpoint mapper) - (dcom server process launcher) are dependence

I can't find http ?

About both RPC status are started

I'll check the scan now.

I just did it and for some reason it say i need to be an administrator user to do so... It's my main computer at home and my account is an administrator. So I don't know...

I just realize that my sm bus controller driver isn't working anymore. Seem to me it can't manage my computer well like it used to be, can it be a reason ?

At DeaconFrost

I just disconnect the printer and restart my computer. Sill stopped. I can't start it either, same problem. I'll try now to uninstall all the driver.

http=system32\drivers\HTTP.sys not a service but a driver!! that shouldn't be the problem.
do the sfc/scannow from
1. Open the Start Menu.

2. Click on All Programs and Accessories, then right click on Command Prompt and click on Run as administrator. (see screenshot below)

It wasn't the problem. So i return normal next restart...

Well, I already tried this before posting on this forum, it was in an older thread about the same problem, it didin't work.

My spools is still stoped.

I have to go at work really soon, i'll have to wait, i want to thank you for your time and i'll ask some friend who know a lot more than me about those things...

If you have any other idea, i'll try it when I come back from work. Or anyone else as well :)

I just don't get it how it happen, what I did to change those parameter ?

Well,

I fixed it today but to be honest, i have no clue exactly what I've done to make it work again. I did some cleanup in my comptuer, then I realised i had some programe (burning program) that was not helpful, he tried to burn a file without any command about it.

I just deleted it as well.

Then i wanted to find a name in my service about the burner and then I saw that spools was working... So I was huh ?

I just hit the command to print anything and it work fine.

I'm sorry that I don't know what worked here to make it start again.

INTERESTING....i looked at the properties for my spoolsv.exe and it lists the EXACT same "created date" Wednesday, August 15, 2012

Anyways, I'm still stumped with this issue. Tried just about every solution that I could find, but the print spooler continues to stop. It actually crashes if I try to do anything that requires it to be running.
