Printer Access Crashes Program

I have a problem, and I'm not the only one. I can print to a network printer just fine, but in any program if I try to access the Printer Properites on the print screen the program crashes. It happens on all printers in Word, and Photoshop so far.

Please help. I'm using Windows 7 32bit.

Have you tried updating the driver for the printer to see if that helps ??
