Printer offline after reboot

I have a Lexmark E260DN networked via wireless router. For months it has worked flawlessly. The other day I noticed that the printer is "offline" and I'm unable to use it. I've found that if I remove the printer, and reinstall it, that it is in "Ready" mode and can use it. However, after reboot it reverts back to "offline". I've searched high and low and have yet to find a solution.

Any ideas?

Regards

Have you tried changing the printer driver to another emulation(like from ps to pcl vice versa)?
What type of port are you using? Is it the standard tcp/ip or the lexmark enhanced?

There is a network firmware update available on the lexmark website and you can update it using the web interface: Lexmark - United States

Make sure to check the version of your network firmware before you update it. The version on the site is NL.APS.N213e, so if the version you have is not the latest one, you can go ahead and update it. To look for the firmware version, access the web interface, click on Reports tab then choose device information.

To update the firmware download the file first, then extract it. Then go to the printer's web interface, click on settings, then update the firmware.

Thanks for the replies. I downloaded new drivers, uninstalled, reinstalled etc. Still didn't work. The printer would be "online" until reboot, then it would be "offline".

However I did end up being able to fix it by deleting the port it was on, then adding another port. Then doing a reinstall of the printer.

People have had problems like this all over the web and user groups regarding different makes and models of printers. Makes me wonder, is this a Windows 7 bug?

Thanks,
Daniel Medley
