I have an HP Deskjet F4280, and as of yesterday, 7 is saying that the printer is out of paper, when it clearly isn't. The funny thing is, I installed the printer in XP Mode as well, and it prints fine from there. Strange issue. Has anybody ever encountered this?

I think this should be under virtualization, not hardware.

Are you using the win 7 driver or XP driver??

7 driver. There's nothing wrong with the driver as far as I can tell, it just suddenly decided to report that it's out of paper as of yesterday. Before that, it was working fine.

Why's that? I already know that it works in XP Mode, that's not the issue. The issue is that Windows 7 all of a sudden thinks the printer is out of paper. It's not an old printer by any stretch. The only reason I installed it in XP Mode in the first place was to see if the same error came up there, not because I had compatibility issues with 7.
